When you purchase a SIM card or eSIM from BaliESIM, we collect the following personal information necessary to process your order and comply with Indonesian telecommunications regulations (Kominfo):

  • Identity Information: Full name, email address, phone number, nationality
  • Travel Information: Arrival date, flight number
  • KYC Documents: Passport photo, device IMEI number (required by Indonesian law)
  • Payment Information: Processed securely through Midtrans — we do not store your card details

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Process and fulfill your SIM card or eSIM order
  • Register your SIM with Indonesian telecom authorities (mandatory under Kominfo regulation)
  • Send order confirmation and eSIM activation instructions via email
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Improve our services and website experience

3. Data Storage & Security

Your personal data is securely stored using Supabase (hosted on AWS infrastructure) with encryption at rest and in transit. Passport photos are stored in secure, access-controlled cloud storage buckets. We implement industry-standard security measures including SSL/TLS encryption, secure authentication, and access controls.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Midtrans — Payment processing (PCI DSS compliant)
  • Supabase — Database and file storage
  • Resend — Transactional email delivery

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as required to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected, including compliance with legal obligations. Order records and KYC data are retained for a minimum of 12 months as required by Indonesian telecommunications regulations.
